"Let us rise up...with a greater readiness. Let us stand with a greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days, these days of challenge to make America what it ought to be."
These words ring like a bell in light of our current "days of challenge." I am going to make a conscious effort to remember them (not to mention my own personal committment to nonviolence) when I am choking back the bile during the State of the Union address in a few weeks.
Yours in struggle my friends. Enjoy today.
That was the funniest thing I've read all day(the part about the state of the union address), and I've even finished reading the newspaper. I read your blog daily, it's posts like these that inspire me to keep typing and never stop reading. Cindy

One of the two guys standing directly behind King the whole time during "the speech" videotape was the uncle of my roomate in College.
How is that for a useless, asynchronous and unsolicited little factoid?

You know, I have always wondered about some of the people in the background. You never know when your Zelig moment will come in life.
Thank you, Cindy. So kind!
