[Had to republish this post because PictoBrowser was acting up.]
Lowell and I made crayon melt valentines for his class and other friends this year. We were inspired by an entry on The Long Thread which I found via the Craft blog. Lowell can be pretty lukewarm about my crafting ideas but he really took to this one. We had a blast making them and so far they have been a big hit.
The pictures were taken with my fancy new camera that I LOVE SO MUCH I WANT TO MARRY IT. Sigh. Romance lives.

I love this project.
And please do tell what your new camera is that you love so much!! I am looking for one to marry as well.

It's a Nikon 5000 (which makes me think Widget from Wow Wow Wubbzy built it). It's pretty great. I never thought i'd really be able to handle an SLR but now I will never be able to go back. Excited to really learn how to use it.

Adorable idea! What did you use to mold them? Is it a candy-making tin type thing?

It's a silicone ice mold that I had on hand from Ikea but any mini-cupcake pan will do. It does ruin it for baking food afterward though.
