Excellent timing, actually, to be simultaneously writing 1600+ daily words, posting to my blog every day and watching the Yankees in the World Series. Why? These are all activities that keep me up far past my optimal bed time. If I am going to stay up for one, why not stay up for all three? Also? Time change! Bonus. I actually have some energy past 9 PM. Won't last that long but for this inaugural evening I will take it.
Day one of NaNoWriMo is going well. Although after exactly 312 words today I realized this 50,000-word novel in a month thing is going to be near-impossible for me. I am trying to truly free-write but it's not something that comes easily. Hoping that if nothing else I'll be able to break myself of my wicked self-censoring ways. Also, not having a theme or real cohesive idea is either going to prove to be an excellent idea or a really bad idea. No in-between. Right now I am leaning towards the latter. We'll see how long I can keep it up as it is now in the 9th inning and it's a tied game. This is not a metaphor. Go Yanks!
Here it is, your daily dose of my novel-in-progress: "I pretended to pass out and he started nibbling on my toes like he was going to eat me for sustenance."

Yay!!! I love any way that I get me more Letter B. Extra writing from you in any form is a delight. Go Yanks!

I am glad you will be writing everyday. Write a post about how baseball isn't boring. :-) Prove it!
